About

Mom | Wife | Optimist | Lifelong Learner | Believer in Humanity

Shortly after starting graduate school to become a Dietitian, I stumbled into the Corporate Wellness space by chance, an experience that spanned 18 years, allowing me to advance into various roles, including leadership positions over the past decade. During this time, I met incredible people, gained extensive knowledge, and guided organizations and their leaders in creating workplace well-being strategies that engaged their employee population at all levels. These initiatives improved employee health and productivity, fostering thriving cultures of wellness through tailored holistic solutions.

Early in my career, after becoming a Dietitian in 2009, and while developing in the Corporate Wellness space,

I was also involved in cancer nutrition research and partnered with medical practices providing individualized support to patients for disease prevention and management. My nutrition counseling approach was rooted in science and evidence and driven by a profound belief that our food choices deeply influence our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. I guided patients in optimizing their health and realizing their best selves. The relationships formed and the improvements we made left a lasting impact on me.

In 2024, I transitioned from the corporate world as I knew it and PAUSED. During this time, I gained clarity on the elements essential for achieving whole-person well-being while focusing on areas that I truly connected with and found meaningful. First, I delved deeply into the GLP-1 landscape, an area that holds significant promise in improving the health of specific individuals when coupled with a personalized plan for behavioral and lifestyle modifications and ongoing support.  In 2025, I embarked on a transformative journey to become a Mental Fitness Coach. This path equipped me with the tools to guide others in identifying the root causes of their limiting beliefs, empowering them to create significant positive changes in their lives. While on this journey, I naturally gravitated towards  exploring leadership optimization. Having walked in those shoes for ten years, I was motivated to understand how I could improve my own leadership performance and inspire other leaders to achieve holistic success for themselves and their teams, which led to co-founding “Optimize: Unlocking Leadership Potential.”

All of this culminated in the launch of Optimized, LLC , providing whole-person well-being optimization support to individuals, medical practices, and employers rooted in prevention, nutrition, and mental fitness.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University. I am originally from Peru, so I am a native Spanish speaker.
